Consecration and timing of Lord Shri Ram: On this special event of Ram Utsav, the consecration of Lord Shri Ram will take place. Mahayagya and recitation of Veda mantras will be performed with local priests in the Pratistha. This day falls on Monday and is Kurma Dwadashi. Dwadashi tithi will start at 07:27 pm on 21 January 2024 and end at 07:52 pm on 22 January 2024. And Shri Ram will reside in his newly built temple on 24th January after a long wait of 500 years.
Organized on date as per recognition: According to Vishnu Purana, Lord Vishnu had taken the incarnation of a tortoise (Kurma), due to which this Dwadashi is dedicated to the Kurma form of Lord Vishnu. On this day, Vishnu form Kurma is worshipped. In Hindu religion, Kurma Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. Kurma Jayanti has great importance in Sanatan Dharma. If any house construction work is done on this day, it gets completed and is also considered very auspicious. If there is a Vaastu defect in someone's house, then the Vaastu defect can be removed very easily on this day. By worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day, all the spoiled works start getting completed because Shri Ram is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, hence, the consecration of Lord Shri Ram is being organized on 22nd January.
The event will run for two months from the day of Shri Ram's life consecration: Folk artists will give presentations related to Ramlila in Ayodhya. Indian art style will also be displayed. Along with theatrical presentations, Rangoli and painting competitions will also be organized. Plans are underway to invite many eminent folk artists to the event. Ram devotees who reached Ayodhya to have darshan of the deity will get to see a different shade. According to people's information, lakhs of Ram devotees are going to arrive in two months. After the Pran Pratishtha program of Ramlala, a flood of devotees are going to come to Ayodhya. And this event will continue from 22 January on the day of Pran Pratishtha till 25 March. Local crafts, handicrafts, and religious rituals will be promoted in the religious and cultural performances organized at Ramotsav.
Vedamantra Stuti and Bhajan Sandhya: At the time of consecration, Vedamantra Stuti and Bhajan Sandhya will be organized in which students of local Gurukuls and Sanskrit schools will participate.: Along with a rich participation in cultural programs, Bhajan evenings will also be organized.
